Pinterest ad revenue worldwide: 2017–2024

Recent data shows that Pinterest’s ad revenue worldwide is forecast to hit $3.73 billion in 2024. This marks a 14.1% annual increase from the $3.27 billion the platform generated from ad revenue in 2023. 

Pinterest has consistently grown its ad revenue over the past few years. In 2017, its global ad revenue was $470 million, around one-eighth of what it's expected to generate in 2024. It surged the following year to $760 million before crossing the $1 billion mark for the first time in 2019, reaching $1.14 billion. In 2020, its global ad revenue totaled $1.69 billion, and by 2021, it had surpassed $2 billion.

Pinterest ad revenue worldwide: 2025–2027 forecast

Looking ahead, Pinterest’s ad revenue is set to continue rising. Analysts predict that the platform will generate approximately $400 million more annually until at least 2027. In 2025, it is expected to reach $4.2 billion and grow to $4.67 billion in 2026. By 2027, Pinterest’s ad revenue worldwide is expected to surpass half a trillion dollars, reaching $5.13 billion.

Between 2017 and 2027, the average annual growth rate of Pinterest’s ad revenue worldwide is forecast at 28.6%. The largest annual growth was in 2018, when total global revenue increased by 61.7%. Growth then slowed to 50% in 2019 and dipped slightly to 48.2% in 2020. In 2021, it rose to 52.7%

Even though Pinterest will continue to increase its annual advertising revenue in the next few years, its growth rate is set to slow. However, it should still remain primarily in the double digits. In 2025, increase in revenues are anticipated to slow to 12.6%, followed by a projected deceleration to 11.2% in 2026 and 9.9% in 2027.
